Early Intervention Services

Hays Area Children's center contracts with the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) to provide services for infants and toddlers with special needs in Ellis and Rush counties. Comprehensive services are available to families based on needs by a team consisting of a special education teacher, speech-language pathologist, physical therapist, occupational therapist, registered nurse, social worker and other professionals as needed. United Way of Ellis county and Ellis County mil levy help fund the Infant/Toddler Early Intervention Services program. These year-round services are provided for children and their families in the home, child care, community programs, or other child-centered environments. Assessment and intervention are individualized for each child and provided at no cost to families.
